These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the PDF Toolkit mobile application (package name com.webtoolsz.pdftoolkit, the "App") provided by WebToolsz ("WebToolsz", "we", "us" or "our"), a business based in India offering the App worldwide. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. In India, additional protections for individuals under 18 apply as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. License Grant
Subject to these Terms, WebToolsz grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Android devices you own or control, for your own personal and non-commercial use.
3. License Restrictions
You agree not to, and not to permit others to:
- Copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the App, except as permitted by law;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, or attempt to derive its source code;
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, distribute or otherwise commercially exploit the App;
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, or circumvent security, licensing or entitlement controls;
- Use the App to build a competing product or for any unlawful purpose.
4. Description of the Service
PDF Toolkit is an offline utility that processes PDF files and images on your device. Free tools include Merge, Split, Compress, Images to PDF, PDF to Image, and Organize Pages (reorder, rotate, extract). Pro tools include Password Protect, Watermark and Page Numbers. Features may change, be added or be removed over time.
5. Your Responsibility for Files & Data
You are solely responsible for the files you process and for keeping your own backups. Please note:
- Deletion is permanent. If you delete, overwrite, split or reorganize a file, the change cannot be undone by us. We do not keep copies of your documents.
- Keep backups. Always retain an original copy of important documents before processing them.
- Compression affects quality. Compressing a PDF or converting between formats may reduce visual quality or file fidelity. Review the output before relying on it.
- Passwords. If you protect a PDF with a password and lose that password, we cannot recover the file for you.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, WebToolsz is not liable for any loss, corruption or degradation of your files.
6. Free / Pro / Subscriptions
The App is free to download and includes core tools supported by advertising. PDF Toolkit Pro unlocks advanced tools and removes ads and is offered as:
- Auto-renewing subscriptions — a monthly plan and a yearly plan; and
- A one-time lifetime purchase (non-subscription) that does not renew.
Subscriptions are billed through your Google Play account and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If prices change, Google Play will notify you and, where required, seek your consent before the change applies to you. All purchases are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
7. Refunds
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play, and refunds are handled according to the Google Play refund policy. Please direct refund requests to Google Play. Where you have mandatory statutory rights to a refund, those rights are not affected.
8. Advertisements
The free version of the App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Ads may use your device's Advertising ID as described in our Privacy Policy. Upgrading to Pro removes ads. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
9. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services including Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), Google AdMob, Google Play Billing and Google Play Services. Your use of these services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Updates & Availability
We may release updates, and some updates may be required to keep using the App. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
11. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, logos, text and graphics (excluding your files), is owned by WebToolsz or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
12. Trademarks & Independence
"PDF" refers to the Portable Document Format, an open, standardized document format; it is not a WebToolsz trademark. PDF Toolkit is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Adobe Inc. or any other document-format owner. Google, Google Play, Android, Firebase and AdMob are trademarks of Google LLC; WebToolsz is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
13. User Conduct / Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and not to use it to process, create or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, or that violates the rights of others. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any file you use with the App.
14. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas or feedback, you grant WebToolsz a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that feedback into the App or our products without obligation or compensation to you.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEBTOOLSZ AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, FILES, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 10. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WebToolsz and its officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.
18. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 5, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19 — will survive.
19. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located in India will have jurisdiction, subject to the following. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at pdftoolkit@webtoolsz.com. If you are a consumer in the EEA, the UK or another jurisdiction whose laws grant you mandatory local consumer protections and access to your local courts, nothing in this Section deprives you of those mandatory rights, and you may bring claims in the courts of your place of residence.
20. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
21. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and WebToolsz regarding the App.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
- Google not responsible: Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App or its content; the App is not associated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Google.
